Step 1: Drain and Inspect the Pool

The restoration begins by draining the pool and performing a thorough inspection. Our team will look for structural cracks, surface deterioration including plaster and tile damage, along with any plumbing or equipment issues.

Step 2: Remove the Old Surface

We will remove loose or damaged material using chipping hammers, grinders, or hydroblasting equipment. The goal is to create a clean, stable surface for the new finish to bond properly.

Step 3: Repair Structural Damage

After the surface is removed, we will address any cracks, chips, or deteriorated concrete. Depending on the issue, we will fill and seal cracks with epoxy or polyurethane injections, patch damaged concrete, and reinforce weakened areas and beams.

Step 4: Replace or Repair Tile and Coping

Many restorations include updating the waterline tile and coping around the pool’s perimeter. Damaged or outdated materials are removed and replaced to improve both appearance and durability.

5. Prepare and Apply the finish.

Before applying the new finish, the concrete is thoroughly cleaned and often acid washed or mechanically prepared to ensure strong adhesion. Dust and debris are removed, and the surface is inspected one final time. Once everything is ready, your new chosen finish is applied over the prepared shell.

This process takes 1-3 weeks, depending on the project.
